Dana LaVergne, MA

I’m Dana LaVergne (she/they) and I am a doctoral candidate in the department of sociology at Loyola University Chicago. My research interests are in medical sociology, embodiment, and science and technology studies (STS). My dissertation research focuses on how hormone blockers for transgender youth has become a site of medical and political contestation. In my spare time, I enjoy crocheting, hanging out with my pet birds, and chilling with friends. I’m excited to be working with EDGE and am looking forward to seeing everyone at upcoming events!
